This patient had a previous AVR in 2005 and presents with acute chest pain secondary from an an acute aortic dissection. Note the clear appearance of a dissection flap in the descending aorta and arch. Colour doppler shows no flow in the false lumen with clot formation.
This is a good example of the gross pathology of an aortic dissection.
