Night Cover.Night cover is currently a block of seven nights with the following three days off. Nights run from 2230 hours until 0830 on weekdays and 0730 on weekends. You will be required to cover nights approximately one week every month. There is always a 24 hour cover for nights with a junior and senior (at least third year) trainee. There is 24 hour consultant cover for obstetrics/pain, general and cardiac anaesthesia overnight. Consultant change over (as per many hospitals) occurs at 0600 hours. |
