5. Termination of Anaesthesia

5.1 The Anaesthetic Nurse is to be present at the termination of anaesthesia and accompany the patient to the Recovery Room.

5.2 The Anaesthetist must accompany the patient to the Recovery Room and give the recovery Room nursing staff any pertinent information.

5.3 After general anaesthesia, patients are returned to the Recovery Room in the lateral position with 6L of oxygen via a Hudson Mask, unless instructed otherwise by the Anaesthetist.

5.4 The intubation tray with Yankeur Sucker and mask goes with the patient to the Recovery Room.
