2.10 Technical Responsibilities

2.10.1 The Department, with the Biomedical Engineering Department, is jointly responsible for the maintenance and safe function of all anaesthetic apparatus and all respiratory support devices, such as ventilators, humidifiers, alarms and resuscitators as well as perfusion equipment and the Stat Laboratory.

2.10.2 Where appropriate, the staff of the department provides assistance to, and consults with, other departments (e.g. CSSU, Biomedical Engineering etc.)
