2.11 Other Responsibilities

2.11.1 The department is expected to provide assistance to any other hospital department which requires its skills, advice and technical resources.

2.11.2 Departmental members, where appropriate, are expected to participate as consultants and committee members in broader activities of the hospital.

2.11.3 The department has instituted mechanisms of clinical review and holds monthly Quality Assurance Meetings at which attendance of all medical staff, other than those pre-empted by clinical duties, is compulsory. Other clinical review projects take place from time to time and are under the general supervision of the Clinical Review Officer.
